Melissa Ann Smith, 59, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

She was born April 20, 1963, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Robert and Audrey (Segar) Smith. She attended Cappers Foundation and graduated from Topeka West High School in 1983.

Melissa repaired books at Econoclad Books where she was employed for 6 years.
She was a 50 year member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her parents of Oklahoma City, OK; two siblings, Kathleen Smith (Chuck Garner), Burlingame, KS and Michael (Linda) Smith, North Newton, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Melissa enjoyed Kansas Special Olympics when she could participate. She also loved slot machines and handicap bowling. She was an artist in her own right.

A celebration of her life will be 2pm, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
