Willard Merle Taylor, 96, Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022.

He was born October 4, 1925, near Keats, Kansas, the son of Charles and Rozina (Tharp) Taylor.

He grew up and attended school in Keats and Westmoreland, KS. Willard was an Army veteran of the Korean War having served from 1950-1952.

Willard married Dora Stelter on November 9, 1952 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Wheaton, KS. They moved to Topeka in 1956. Willard retired from Sears Roebuck & Company in 1988. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dora; daughter, Debra Taylor; grandson, Stuart Taylor; granddaughter, Rosalyn Taylor; and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Taylor Bigge (Stephen).

He was preceded in death by two sons, infant James in 1954 and Kevin in 2010; his parents, brothers, Lewis, Charles, Marvin, and infant brother; and sister, Wilma Michael.

Visitation will be 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by memorial services at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Faith Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka.
