Jerry L. Spaulding, 80, of Topeka, passed away in June 2022.

He was born May 24, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Charles and Vera (Logan) Spaulding.

Jerry enjoyed traveling both throughout the United States visiting family and to Europe. He treasured all things trains. He was knowledgeable about almost all the train schedules coming and going in Topeka.

He like the "old" movies (Ma and Pa Kettle was his favorite). If he wasn’t watching movies, you could catch him reading magazines about movie stars. His favorite actresses were Shirley Temple and Lucille Ball.

Jerry worked for the State of Kansas for 19 years in food service. He also spent 5 years at Stormont-Vail and volunteered there until March 2022.

He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Ann Terpening; nieces, Linda (Mark) Troxell, Tina Terpening, and Teri Fincham and nephew, Dennis (Cara) Terpening; four great nieces; four great nephews; two great-great nieces; one great-great-great nephew, and one great-great-great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Darla Terpening.

Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
