Florence M. Fox, 89, of Topeka, Kansas passed away May 5th, 2022 at her home in Topeka. She was born on November 22nd, 1932 to Charles & Florence Bernauer in College Point, New York. She was the middle child of three siblings. At age 19, Florence moved to Topeka, and married Horton L. (Bud) Fox in 1951. They were married for 54 years until his passing in 2005.

Florence was known for her love of bowling, reading, quilting, and camping. Every weekend Florence & Bud went camping, never missing a weekend. She camped every weekend up until her passing, camping all over the United States, including all of the lower 48 states and multiple cross country trips. She was a member of multiple camping clubs, including Campfire Campers for 15 years, and for over 50 years she was involved with Family Campers & RV’s.

She is preceded in passing by both her parents; her husband, Bud; two children, Daughter Doris Jean, and son, Donald Charles; Brother, Chuck Bernauer and a Grandson, Paul Martell. Florence is survived by two children, Dwight (Susan) Fox & Diane Fox, Daughter in-law Gail Fox; Brother Neal (Carol) Bernauer of Fredonia, Kansas; Brother in-law – Dale (DeAnn) Fox of Ottawa, Kansas; Brother In Law – Dennis (Ann) Fox of Chicago, Illinois; 8 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; and one Great-Great Grandchild.

The family will receive guests from 9 – 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10th, at Penwell-Gabel Midtown, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka. A Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 a.m.
