Dorothy L. (Bornholdt) Clausen, 90, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

She was born November 3, 1930, in Irene, South Dakota, the daughter of Roy and Mable (Winston) Bornholdt.

Dorothy was a home maker and loved taking care of and spending time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, working her word search puzzles, taking care of her violets and gardening as well as baking and treat making for her friends and family.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Topeka for over 60 years.

Dorothy married Claude H. Clausen on June 19, 1949 in Atlantic, IA. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2006.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (Greg) Gladfelter, Lori (John) Moser and Lisa (Matt) Opitz; grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda) Gladfelter, Blake Gladfelter, Elizabeth (Brian) Allinger, Stephanie (Patrick) Monaghan and Alexis Moser; one great grandson, Brooks Allinger; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Private funeral services are scheduled. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church 600 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS 66603 www.fumctopeka.org.
