Donald โ€œDonโ€ Alvin Howe, 76, Topeka, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, leaving his wife, Suzan Gale, after 60 years of marriage. Their six children, Donald Scott, Brian Steven, Kimberly Sue, Andrea Pauline, Renee Christine, and Bambi Sue, concludes his 200th year generation of ancestors, all of whom remain in Black Earth, Wisconsin.

Don was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served as an Army Paratrooper.

He was an avid fisherman and reader. He was an impressive history buff and loved to write Vietnam War stories. He absolutely loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in passing by his beloved Australian Shepherd, Hollie Kay, who he adored.

To honor his life, a visitation will be held from 1pm-2pm Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas.

A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:30pm at Topeka Cemetery, 1601 SE 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas.
