She was born March 1, 1945, in Ellsworth, Kansas, the daughter of Theodore and Albina (Lilak) Barta. She graduated from Ellsworth High school. After graduation she attended Dodge City Community College and received a nursing degree.
Arneita was employed by the USD 450 as a School Bus Driver and Cotton O’Neil Health Clinc.
She was an active member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, of Topeka and was a part of the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed going Polka dancing with Keith. Arneita loved spending time with her family. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses and spending time with her cousins.
Arneita married Keith Wyer on March 22, 1968 in Ellsworth, KS. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2005.
Survivors include her children, William (Roxanne) Keith Wyer, Steven (Michelle) Wyer, Doug (Alicia) Wyer and Darci (Manny) Tinajero; grandchildren, Eric (Kelly), Kelsey (Paul), Myles, Jacob, Courtney, Matthew, Taylor, Katelyn, Kiley and Ariana; two great grandchildren, Ollie and Eleanor; and sister, Donna Vopat. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet friends for a visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 2014 NW 46th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66618. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66606.
