In Memory Of
Harold Inman
1926 - 2021

Harold Loyd Inman, 95, resident of Topeka Presbyterian Manor, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

He was born March 11, 1926 in Boyd, Texas, the son of Gettys and Margaret (Allison) Inman. He graduated from Hobart High School, Hobart, Oklahoma in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946 as a Private First Class with gunner’s wings. He received a BA Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1950, and a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas in 1953.

On November 5, 1953, he married Bobbie Ann Snow in Oklahoma City at Kentucky Avenue Baptist Church. They were married for 67 years. He always said, “the best thing that ever happened to me, other than my salvation in Christ, was in the form of a beautiful red head. God has richly blessed our lives together and it has been a genuine joy to love Bobbie with all my heart.”

While in college and seminary he served in multiple churches in Oklahoma. Following seminary, he continued to serve in various churches in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. In 1964 he went to work for the Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists as Sunday School and Church Music Secretary, and later as Director of Teaching and Training. He retired in 1990 after 27 years of service with Kansas and Nebraska churches. After retirement he continued to help churches in Sunday School and Discipleship Training, as well as Church Architecture and Planning. He also served as the Kansas Nebraska Volunteer in Missions Coordinator. He was known for being an innovative leader, with a keen sense of humor. During his career with KNCSB he traveled extensively throughout the United States. His love for traveling continued with Bobbie after retirement allowing them to see and experience many beautiful places.

He was a faithful member of First Southern Baptist Church, Topeka.

Harold loved to sing and play hymns on the piano and enjoyed talking to people and sharing the gospel of salvation with everyone he met. He was a man full of integrity and wisdom, loved God with all his heart and was a faithful servant to the end.

Harold was a devoted Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. The love he shared with his family, his sense of humor, and his contagious laughter will be missed by all.

Harold is survived by three daughters – Brenda (Glen) Fulkerson of Littleton, CO; Sherri (Jim) Prater of Heath, OH; and Terri (Greg) Stevens of Jones, OK; six grandchildren – Greg (Jen) Fulkerson, Lori (Zach) Scholz, Clint (Bethany) Spencer, Ryan (Chrissy) Prater, Amber Prater, and Megan Prater; eight great-grandchildren – Maddison, Noah, Ellie, Ethan, Emma, Sierra, Eleanor, and Beau.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Ann (Snow) Inman of Topeka; his daughter Dawn Inman of Topeka, his sisters Wanda Boling of Richardson, TX and Dorothy Moore of Oklahoma City, OK.
