Glinda Beck Leach, 94, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020.

She was born October 8, 1926 in Ellington Missouri to Ray and Jessie (Gallaher) Beck.

Glinda graduated from Ellington High School. After graduating, she earned a Bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She also received two Master’s degrees from the University of Missouri in Science and Education. She worked as a Home Economist for the state of Kansas for many years. She was a patron of the arts and supported the Mulvane Arts Museum at Washburn University.

She was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church, American Association of University Women and American Home Economics Association.

She married Dr. Hugh V. Leach in 1959 in Columbia, Missouri.

She is survived by her niece Jeanne {Shaffer} Noto and her husband Frank Noto. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Rebecca {Beck} Shaffer and brother-in-law Carl Shaffer.

She was cherished and loved and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Mulvane Arts Museum at Washburn University, 1700 SW Jewell Ave, Topeka, KS 66621.
