1941 - 2020

Robert Michael Davis, 79, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020.

He was born July 15, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Charles and Helen (Schamer) Davis.

After graduating high school, Robert joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country until October 1994. Mr. Davis was a member of the VFW. He was a drummer for many bands through out his life including Morrie Wayne and the Trailblazers, Country Sunshine and Joe Cook and the medicine show. His love of drumming made his heart happy.

Robert married Bonnie and she precedes him in death. Survivors include a beloved companion, Wilma Ross; son of the heart, Ron Massek; granddaughter, Nicole (Bobby) Plankinton; granddaughter of the heart, Krisi (Matthew) Griesman; grandson, Melvin Bracken; and great-grandchildren, Mallory, Hunter, Davis, Cole and Jacoby; and a sister Bonnie Lyons.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Darleen Napier and daughter, Mary Ross.

Following Robert’s wishes cremation is planned. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Scranton Cemetery on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
