Hollis Dixon, 70, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his home.
He was born October 11, 1949, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Willard and Nina Dixon.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Library Science from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas.
Hollis was employed by Westar Energy for over 30 years, before retiring.
He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, MA.
Survivors include sisters, Kaye Patterson and Linda Lehman, many nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Dixon, mother Nina Dixon, and brothers, Gene Dixon and Wayne Dixon.
He enjoyed his time outside, bird and wildlife watching and was an avid film buff.
Per Hollis’ wishes cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will take place at a later date.
