I am so broken hearted for you Renay. I can only imagine how broken hearted you are. The comforting thought is that you know you'll see her again.
At one of your lovely Thanksgiving dinners i had the joy of visiting with Sherri. I had a bracelet that i had gotten at the bookstore at my church, Sherri liked it so i took it off and gave it to her.
It was a pleasure for me. It was little squares with Christian sayings with rhinestones.
Sherri was certainly accomplished! And beautiful..she looked like your twin.
I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers.
Your friend, Peggy

I’ve known Sheri for over 30 years. Sheri was a great friend and truly loved with her whole heart. She would light up a room just by walking in. My heart is so heavy with grief. She was loved by my whole family and we will all miss her.

Our hearts are saddened by your loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with you. May peace and comfort find you during this difficult time.

I met Sheri some 20 plus years ago when she rolled into an ABATE of Kansas function on "Grace" her Harley. She was a whirlwind of energy and deep soulful belly laughs we became instant friends and I held her in my heart even when our life paths took us down other avenues across the midwest. I last spent time with her two years ago when we discussed me taking over Grace with the promise of taking her on rides when she felt up to it, however, in the end it was too sentimental for her and we left Grace in her garage...... Sheri, I can't believe your spirit has left this world, but I am honored to of been part of your circle while here on earth. LOVE YA GIRLFRIEND! Your body is free from the pain as you rest in the arms of the lord. ~ Tracy

Sheri was my mother-in-law for nearly a third of my life to date. Everything was larger than life with her. Her many exotic stories entertained us on many occasions. She loved our children as her own and had a huge heart for animals. She had many amazing recipes and was a joy to be around. She will be greatly missed.

My Beautiful Cousin Sheri!!!
I wish we would have been closer and lived closer to each other!
We could of cooked & baked together and shared recipes.
When we were together when we were younger, I was always in awe of you, you were Beautiful, Smart, and you were bigger then life, and we always had lots of fun together!!!!
You will always be in my Heart!!
I Love you Forever!!!
~ Julie Hoffert - February 10, 2020
She greeted me with a hug as I came in the door to the church. Her smile made my day every time. As she shared her adventures of her life, I could tell she loved and learned from all of her encounters. She was confident and encouraging and my friend.

Praise God for Sheri! I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I had the privilege of working with her many years ago at North Topeka Pizza Hut. Sheri was there for me, a fierce friend, at a dark time in my life and also the most joyous when my son was born. Sadly, we lost touch through the years, but I thought of her often and whenever I did, I thanked God for creating her! Oh my goodness! Sheri was a force to be reckoned with adding life, light and happiness to the lives she touched and beyond. She demonstrated how to celebrate life, and her example just "rubbed off" on people, who would then appreciate life differently because of Sheri, and then it rippled out to others that had never met her. Just spreading love of life, amazing! It is a rare to find a person who is so beautiful on the outside, yet even more beautiful within. I am thankful for the photos I have, reminding me of her joyous enthusiasm for life and laughter; always makes me warm and smiley. David, Renae, Darin and all the family, I pray you will feel God's comfort and it brings you peace at this time; and all the cherished memories will bring comfort as well.

Sheri was my wonderful stepmother. We never called it that, though. She was my second mother. That woman taught me how to cook, and let me tell you, she made a mean lasagna! I called her for advice more times than I can count. She was there for me through relationships, breakups, marriage, divorce, and the births of both of my children. I have several gifts from her that I hold very dearly, including my wedding ring that was previously hers. My heart hurts. I know with all of my heart that she was a believer, and that she is running around with Blue once again.
~ Kimberly Hernandez - February 10, 2020
It is so hard to believe you are gone. Over the past few years we could spend hours on the phone talking about everything and nothing at the same time. I'm so glad that our friendship became what it did. This world will never be the same without your smiling, laughing and bubbly personality but Heaven just gained a great angle. Until we meet again - love and miss you!
~ Cindy Watson - February 10, 2020
It comforts me to know these 2 things about sweet Sheri: #1 She was a believer, #2 She knew how to be a friend ( how good to count myself as one!) Barbara De Lisle

I have wonderful memories of Sheri in my art classes at JWHS. Her big smile and outgoing personality made my classroom a better place. She was beautiful, caring and creative. Rest In Peace Sheri. To all her friends and family, may you cherish your good memories!

The world lost a true friend recently. I lost a sister . We had our moments and many soul evoking ones at that - I’m reminded that those that you think are invincible are sometimes the ones who carry the world on their shoulders . Life seems to be driving this home on my path . To Sheri Lesmeister .. I know that heaven is you and Blue playing together and howling at the moon . RIP sister . We lived together , worked together , traveled together and fought together ... a bright light forever in my heart .
Love to the family forever

I was so saddened to hear of the loss of my cousin Sheri. She was the closest in age to me and although we didn't see each other too often due to distance. We had some fun memories together growing up. I remember when she was 15 and I was 16 and she took me to "Worlds of fun" to spend the day at the amusement park. It was a long trip and I'm not even sure if we were supposed to be driving that far, but we did anyway. We were two teens with freedom. So of course we went off the path of what we were supposed to be doing. But we had a good time doing it! She was always like that. Ready for something fun and comical. She will be missed and my husband and I both grieve with Aunt Renae and our family in her loss. Too young to go. May she rest in peace.

Your bubbly personality...zest for life...loving and caring attitude towards your family and friends will be sorely missed. You brought joy and smiles when you entered a room. So sorry you had to leave us so early...a life gone to soon. Love you forever.
~ Linda Pratt - February 8, 2020
So hard to believe you are gone, but never to be forgotten. I so am glad we had the chance to spend time together and visit these last couple of months. Through your struggle, you always had a smile on your face and such a positive attitude. The Sheri-go-round is closed for now, but we will reunite someday in a place much better than this world. You are healed now, fly high! Love ya gal! — Jennifer
