He was born May 10, 1959, in Rapid City, South Dakota, the son of Lyle and Patricia (Chard) Hair. He graduated from Lincoln High School.
He served his country in the Air Force. He worked as a Vehicle Mechanic.
He had a huge love for God. His heart was so full. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and willingness to help those in need.
He was an active member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, where he would serve in whatever role was needed. He was also a member of C.M.A. (Christian Motorcycle Association). Above all else, he loved spending and cherishing time with his family.
Steven married Anna on February 13, 1993 in Topeka, Kansas, she survives. Other survivors sons, William (Faye) Evans , Sr. and Jacob Schooler; grandchildren, Sierra (Dakota) Evans, William (Sierrah) Evans, Jr., Alex Mathis, Mackenzie Wilson, Julie Ann Young, and Makayla Schooler; great-granddaughter, Layla Sue Mills and great-grandson, Kolson Christian; siblings Patricia Nelson, Kathy Nelson, Omar (Carol) Hair and Karol Hair, all of Lincoln, KS; four nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his sons, Ryan Hair and Timothy Evans and brother, Matthew Hair.
A Funeral Ceremony will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Road. Interment with military honors will follow at Underwood Cemetery. The family will greet friends an hour prior at the church.
