Rose Ann Dale, 82, of Tecumseh, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019.

She was born April 23, 1937, in, Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of John Joseph and Octavia Alice (Neighbors) Gabriel. Rose Ann attended Lindbergh Grade School in Kansas City, Kansas where she met and started dating the love of her life, Leonard. She attended and graduated from Turner High School, Turner, KS in 1955.

Rose Ann married Leonard Dale on September 11, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas. During their 64 years of marriage, they moved 12 different times, so she became their official moving coordinator.
Rose Ann was involved in many organizations; which included the Red Hat Momma’s, the Wacky Wednesday Group that was very involved in the Arab Shrine making decorations and preparing for ladies luncheons and ceremonials. Rose Ann and her sister Mary Margret had a doll making business, it was called “The 2 Sisters and the Honey Do’s”.

Rose Ann loved her family and extended family very much, she enjoyed hosting annual Christmas gathers, and anytime family would just drop by for a visit. She loved to cook and bake, which she prided herself in knowing that she was able to pass on many family recipes down to her grandchildren.

Survivors include husband, Leonard Dale; children, Gary (Pam) Dale and Pam Montgomery and Janet Gentry; grandchildren, Misty (Phil) Flewelling and Kate Montgomery and John (Coralene) Dale and Tyler (Anna) Gentry and Nicole (Joseph) Scherr and Trevor Gentry; great grandchildren, Bailey & Brooke Flewelling and Jeffery Montgomery and Eloise Scherr; sister, Eldora Maxine Stauch; and many very special and much loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph and Octavia Gabriel; sisters, Alice Winzer and Mary Margret Tucker; brother, John Joseph Gabriel Jr; Son-in-law, Charles Montgomery; and grandson Jeremy Montgomery.

Family will greet friends from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka, KS 66604. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 am Monday, October 14, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arab Shrine Travel Fund for Children, 1305 S. Kansas Ave. Topeka KS 66603 or Elara Caring Hospice.
