He was born November 11, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Oliver Dale and Golda Faye Marney.
Larry married Aurel (Zirkle) Marney on June 22, 1963. She survives. Other survivors include children, Stacey Marney and Joe Marney; four brothers, Barry Marney, Terry Marney, Jerry Marney, and Perry Marney; four grandchildren, Tyler Musa, Joshua Musa, Sydney Marney, and Reece Marney.
He attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Topeka and Jupiter Tequesta United Methodist Church in Jupiter, Florida.
He began his career with Hankamer Ready-Mix, where he worked for 18 years. From 1984 to 2014 he owned and managed Concrete Supply of Topeka and Builders Choice Companies, alongside his children and brother, which operated multiple ready-mix and aggregate operations throughout Kansas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, September 19, 2019 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 4525 NW Button Road, Topeka, KS. A committal service will follow in the chapel at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka.
