Anne M. (Berg) Hunter, 58, of Topeka, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019.

She was born September 27, 1960, in Hiawatha, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Kathryn (Onek) Berg. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School and went on to attend Kaw Valley Area Vo-Tech.

She was a woman who had a big heart. Her love extended to not only her husband and family but to animals as well. She was a person who would rescue any and all animals. She would always put other people before herself, and she never knew a stranger.

She was extremely crafty and loved to make jewelry, especially her beadwork in bracelets, necklaces and earrings. Her favorite music ranged from old country to rock and roll to the blues. Her husband and she enjoyed going to races and volunteering at Thunder Hill Speedway. In her younger years, she was involved with the Kansas Storm Spotters.

Anne married Francis Hunter on June 1, 2009, in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Katy (James) Lundgren, Mitchell (Tiffany) Bowers, Adeline (Tommie) Lindsay and Kathy (Luke) Hunter; siblings, Tim Berg, Lynnette (Margaret) Berg, Jeanette (Doug) Torok and Scott (Becky) Berg; 11 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim Hunter and sister-in-law, Michelle Hunter. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Berg.

The funeral ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the Penwell-Gabel - Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
