She was born on August 1, 1953 in Leavenworth, KS the daughter of John I. Parker and Bobbye (Mitten) Parker.
She graduated from Washburn University School of nursing and went on to work for Stormont Vail for over 30 years, as well as KU Medical Center.
She married Brian Haybarker. He survives. Other survivors include children, Joshua Haybarker (Bridget) and
Shaunna Haybarker; grandchildren, Suzanne Haybarker, Logan Haybarker, Garrett Haybarker, Austin Haybarker, Ethan Haybarker, MaKenzi Haybarker; parents-in-law, Gerald and Eloise Haybarker; sister-in-law, Deborah VanDyke; as well as numerous other extended family members.
Connie enjoyed going to the casino, reading, (especially romance novels), fishing and bowling. She greatly enjoyed working and the years she spent working as a nurse.
Connie will lie in state from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
