Carol, we are so very sorry. Larry was one of the kindest men - a loving husband and the best Uncle Larry. The two of you shared a love story dating back to high school. You two loved our nieces so completely. We always knew how very much you loved the girls and their families. Larry was such a fine man. We know how very much you will all miss him, but we know you take comfort in knowing his suffering is done. God bless you.

Words cannot express how sad I'm right now. We have all lost yet another great man, husband, brother, uncle, great uncle etc. Rest in peace Uncle Larry. OK so here I go, I have to remember all the memories, good times, family events he would want it like that. I remember being a kid and going to Uncle Larry and Aunt Carols house. They had this cat named Snoopy and a cocker spaniel named dog and of course I remember that beautiful red corvette in the garage! Having such a great family it felt like we were always together, not just for holidays because Uncle Larry and Aunt Carol were always at birthdays, graduations etc for me and for my children. I'm so blessed to have had my children grow up around such a great loving man. I will forever remember how competitive he was at playing cards 7 up...7 down! I think the women are still winning haha! When I look at an orchid I will forever think of you! I remember when Uncle Larry and Aunt Carol taught country western line dancing man was he good at it! I remember driving up to Lawrence to watch them dance with my parents. I can see him now dancing with Aunt Carol gliding her across that dance floor.. and of course the KU players that used to come and dance also. Anyone that knows Uncle Larry knows how much he loved KU! We will keep that tradition going for you Uncle Larry! ROCK CHALK! I also want to express how thankful I'm for you always being there for my mom. I know she would ask you to help her with stuff and you always came though for her whether it was coming up with the perfect song for grammie and gramps 50th wedding anniversary song "Vince Gill" "Look at Us". Which I have to say kudos Uncle Larry you nailed it with that one! Or doing the graveside services for grammie and gramps you definitely did them proud! And also saying the prayer at our family functions meant so much to us all!
Thank you Uncle Larry for making such a wonderful mark on our family. We will keep your memory alive until we meet again!
Love
Angelia

Carol,
So sad to learn of Larry's passing. It has been more than 50 years since we were roommates in Joliffe Scholarship Hall and in each other's wedding in summer of 1967. Fun times with special friends. Though we have not connected for many years, please know that you are in my heart and my prayers.

What lasting memories we shared with Carol and Larry. When our children and Jennifer’s children played soccer and traveled we were always welcomed and treated to wonderful meals and a warm and beautiful home whenever it took us to Topeka. I treasure those memories. Thank you both and know you are in our thoughts and prayers Carol. Larry will be missed but never forgotten. We love you all ??????

Carol, I remember your smile and Larry's jovial nature. May your grieving be short and memory of him long. Blessings to you, dear friend.
