Robert E. Stirton, Sr., 92, of Topeka, passed away on January 31, 2019.

He was born on March 16, 1926 in Muscotah, KS.

He worked for Falley’s for many years, eventually retiring in 1988. Bob enjoyed playing baseball during his younger years, golfing, fishing, and bowling. Above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include children, Cathy Wade, Connie Brooks (Mike), Robert E. “Bobby” Stirton, Jr. (Jackie), Greg Stirton (Cathy), Russell Stirton, Darla Hayes (Scott); 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Brad Brooks and Morgan Lee Stirton; and siblings, Alice Fahrendorff, and Oliver Dickinson.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6th & Gage. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
