I’m truly sorry for your loss. I’ve learned a lot about Holly’s personality through Aubrey and wish I had a chance to meet her. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bonnett family. God Bless.
~ Alex VanderHamm - January 7, 2019
I am blessed to have met you. May your life be eternal. I will treasure the t-shirt Aubrey had you make for me and will always think of you when I put it on.
~ Spiro Phillos - January 6, 2019
Oh Holly, I can still hear that chuckle of yours. Such a great person taken too soon. You were so dedicated to your family and friends, always willing to lend an ear or hand.
On of my fondest memories was at Christmas time 4 years ago. My mom had a heart attack a few days before Christmas so making all the holiday treats fell to me. Without hesitation Aubrey and you came over to help me roll HUNDREDS of bonbons. I don’t think you all knew what a bonbon was but by the end of the night we were all pros! While we worked for hours on end there was laughter, stories told, and happy to help the entire time without a single complaint.
There are so many other memories that will be told over time, as a place or thing reminds of us our sweet friend.
~ Amber Mertel - January 6, 2019
Lady Antebellum, started playing on Aubrey's music box. I sat there in amazement as the two sisters got up, stood there and started at each other. The music played, and they sang. Every word, every rif, every chorus. It was the most sweetest, heart endering event witnessed between two sisters I will ever see. I run too you I run too you... Holly. Holly. Holly. Sweet Holly.
~ Lonnie Hamilton - December 28, 2018
Terry and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Terry, Patti, Aubrey, Amber and Ben,
We always consider the 3 sisters as our sisters and now we lost our Dear Holly! No words can caption her Wit, Beauty, Sense of Humor, Loyalty...we could go on and on. Holly loved to dance and I always enjoyed cutting a rug with her! Her eyes were so beautiful just like a gem and we will miss seeing them. Our hearts weigh heavy for the Family during this sad time.

It's impossible to put into words what Holly means to me. She was brilliant. She was compassionate. She was beautiful. She was creative; she was captivating. She could make any facet of life, no matter how mundane, fabulous and entertaining with her sense of humor and her anecdotes. She was the one TRUE friend I have had throughout my life. The only friend I have had who truly loved unconditionally--no ulterior motives; no questions asked. She loved fiercely and taught me how to love and accept myself even when others didn't. She had a genius about her; she saw the underlying beauty in every one and every thing. I have loved her ever since I met her and her beautiful sisters some 30 years ago and I am so grateful that God saw to it to allow me the privilege of having her in my life. My thoughts and prayers remain with her family and with all who loved her. I pray that the tremendous amount of love for Holly, that will forever remain, will help to ease the pain of her loss.
~ Kristy Beitler - December 9, 2018
We lost a very good person and friend today. A friend with a big heart that was smiling every time you saw her. Holly loved the time around a backyard fire or around the table with her moms homemade cooking. She was always looking forward to her moms favorite dishes that her mom made for her.
My best memory was when she was on a family trip to the lake. She was so happy we all got straw hats and she had the biggest smile on her face taking pictures with her sisters and family. She was enjoying the moment.
Holly loved her life, family and friends. She was caring and would help others before herself.
She was loved by everyone and will be missed everyday.
Prayers go out to the family and friends

I never had the pleasure of meeting Holly, but have heard so many loving memories shared by Aubrey over the years. I am thinking and praying for you daily. I’m so sorry for your loss and am sending much love to you from San Diego.

Terry, Patti & Family. Gail and I are very saddened to hear of the passing of your daughter Holly. Terry, I first met Holly at your Army Retirement gathering. The thing I will remember most about Holly is that she was very nice to me and talked to me like we had known each other a long time. She had a wonderful spirit about her. You were blessed to have her, and she touched a lot of people's lives, as shown in the memories of folks who posted on here. Sincere Prayers and condolences from the Zufall Family. If you need anything, please call us. Love, Randy, Gail, Allan and Nick Zufall.
~ RANDY ZUFALL - December 7, 2018
Holly was an incredible, bright as a shooting star, off-the-wall funny, compassionate human being! I cherished all the special times we shared! I feel blessed to have had the privilege of working with Holly in the gifted program for nine wonderful years! Holly was a member of the very closely knit group, HAMMJeLS, which stood for Holly, Andy, Maggie, Megan Jessica, Lindsay, and Shanti. Holly was part of the glue that created such a close bond.
I was lucky enough to get to go to Europe with Holly, Maggie, Jessica and Shanti, on the condition that I not bug Maggie, but just hang out with my teacher friends. I abided by the rule; however, Holly and Maggie sought me out for advice several times! ?? Holly and I had a comparative chocolate study, where we found we preferred German chocolate to French, Belgian, Italian, Swiss, and Spanish! Holly and I delighted in debunking stereotypes!
As a mother, I will always be grateful for Holly’s friendship with Maggie. They found each other in kindergarten, and I think they recognized a kindred spirit in each other, since they both followed the beat of a different drummer!
Holly was a delightful, bright, compassionate, human being with an incredible sense of humor! She will be fiercely missed by all who knew and loved her! And to know her was to love her!

Aubrey, Amber, Terry, Patti: My thoughts are with you and your family even more than normally, since hearing about Holly. Aubrey is like a sister to me, even my mom after first meeting her, was like "I have 4 daughters now" Aubrey is my family, and you are all my family. Thinking of you all, hugging you from California.
~ Rachel + Justin Rice - December 7, 2018
Holly was a great person, and a free soul. She was always happy to tell a joke when you were sad,or to give you a kiss or a hug to help lift your spirits. I am honored to have been able to call her my Friend. Holly will be missed by many. A great many. My condolences go out to the Family.

News of your death Holly Bonnett was a heart breaker, you will be missed for your humor and affection for others. Holly helped me one time. She was so smart in technical matter, able to untangle the jargon in government speak. And she made me laugh with her wit, she could cheer you up. Memories abide, my beloved friend, we shared a few pints together, and I'm glad we had our moment of clarity, because your soul touched mine. Rest in peace my friend.
~ Michael Hooper - December 6, 2018
My dearest Patti & Terry, I was in disbelief when I read on FB about Holly’s passing!! My heart is breaking for you both and your girls! You were one of the first to reach out to me when Nathan died, and I appreciated it so much. My memories of Holly are few, but I do remember her sense of humor and her eyes that just sparkled when she smiled! Our children are not suppose to pass before their parents, but God has a plan for every soul and we must trust in His Goodness and plan. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss of your precious child. Perhaps Holly and Nathan are hanging out in Heaven and both keeping watch over us!! May God’s love and compassion give you a bit of comfort today and the days ahead. You all are in my thoughts and prayers!
~ Kathy Beckman - December 6, 2018
Aubrey & Family: Our hearts go out to you all. May family and friends comfort you during this time, and the upcoming days into the years to come. May she find peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Holly! I really enjoyed her in class. Her sense of humor was contagious! May God be with her family and friends! ????
~ Joan Bolt - December 6, 2018
I wasn't lucky enough to know Holly but her sister, Aubrey, is one of my closest friends in Seattle. Aubrey speaks frequently about both of her awesome sisters but specifically Holly and how funny and caring she was (sorry, Amber). It's no doubt to me that Aubrey is the woman she is today because of the fierce love and care-taking from her big sister. We thank Holly for giving us Aubrey as she's a wonderful friend and trusted confidante. Sending love and prayers to the Bonnett family as they celebrate Holly.
~ Susan Levine - December 6, 2018
I worked with Holly out at the Home Depot warehouse just outside Topeka. We went through orientation together and then were paired up together as we trained in our department. At that time I did not realize she was Amber's sister until we got talking about western Kansas, as she was from Norton and I was from Stockton. I remember they asked us in orientation to tell everyone your favorite movie and I went right before Holly and said Shawshank Redemption. She smiled and said that I stole her answer and that was her favorite too. I knew Amber through our mutual friend Matt Conyac and Amber I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. I think the thing I remember the most of my time working with Holly is she had a great smile that could light up a room and her and I shared the same sense of humor. Rest in peace my friend and peace to Amber and the rest of the family in days to come-
~ Kevin Heenan - December 6, 2018
What a shock to hear that Holly passed away! I remember hanging out in the theater Room with her and always being so intimidated by her because she seemed so cool. We did plays together, and I had classes with her sister Aubrey. My deepest condolences to the family
~ Alena (Loyd) Haskins - December 6, 2018
Holly is ever present in soooo many memories in my life, especially in the first 20 or so years of it. Oh man, I loved to hear her tell a story and how she'd sort of talk with her hands and her infectious laugh. I don't remember having a single argument with her in our years of friendship, and I don't think I've ever heard someone say a bad word about her. So many people loved her. I was so grateful for her knowledge of great music and art. I get the giggles thinking about when she let me drive the buttery yellow mustang she'd so lovingly restored with her dad - even though I was really terrible at driving a stick shift. I was just thinking about Holly in junior high last week with her fantastic wild wavy hair, and how cool she always was. I loved growing up with her. She was such a constant reassuring presence in my life for a such a long time. The world is a better place for her being in it. Sending so much love and hugs to you, Patti, Terry, Amber, and Aubrey.
~ Jessica Seybold - December 5, 2018
I've never met anyone and thought "you remind me of Holly." You were one of a kind and I'm proud to have called you my friend. You had the sharpest wit, the greatest sense of humor and the best laugh. You could hold your own in a conversation about anything and had a way of making me laugh at myself when I didn't agree with you. You were genuinely kind to everyone, but were fiercely loyal to your friends and family. You will be missed.
~ Brandon Burgen - December 5, 2018
So many great childhood memories of Holly. An amazing soul from my earliest of memories with a terrific sense of humor and a smile to match. I regret that I have not done better to make more memories and that there will be no more opportunities to do so, but I will always cherish the memories that I have. The world has lost a tremendous person and I have lost a dear cousin and friend. From my family to yours, accept my condolences and may peace be with you all.
~ Jeremy Gruen - December 5, 2018
Holly’s paths and mine intertwined several times over the years I lived in Topeka. I am sorry to hear of her passing. But I have many fond memories of her subtle razzing of me when I used to bartend.
~ Matthew Conyac - December 5, 2018
Hi, I’m Aubrey’s friend Traci. I just wanted you all to know that I am sending love, hugs and prayers to you all from Seattle.
~ Traci Schmidt - December 5, 2018
Holly ... your a beautiful, unique and talented friend, the loss of your soul will be felt for eternity ... I can't imagine what your family is going through, there are no words to ease the pain. We are all blessed to have had you in our lives ... you will always be my favorite finger talker ... give Lenny a big kiss from me.
Love you always

Back in the mid to late nineties I attended a class reunion at York College in York Nebraska. I was late getting there as I had to work that morning and missed most of the festivities except the soccer game. I was looking for anyone that I knew when a young lady with a twinkle in her eye and a killer smile caught my attention. I spent the rest if the afternoon getting to know Holly. I knew both of her parents very well, but hadn't had the opportunity to get to know Holly more than just in passing. That day I fell in love with her charm, wit and intelligence. She kept trying to get me to tell stories on her dad . I kept telling her that was confidential, or that I could neither confirm nor deny. I will miss Holly and this world is a darker place with out her in it. But brighter for her passing through it.
~ Brian Stuva - December 5, 2018
Holly is one of the reasons I will always cherish my time teaching at Norton. She remained a great friend to me. She was so talented at everything she did - theater, art, journalism. She was kind and clever, full of adventure and always lived each day to the fullest. She was wise beyond her years and worldly beyond her small-town upbringing. We had great times - from singing karaoke at my 30th birthday party to our trip to South Carolina. I am so glad Holly was a part of my life. Much love to her family.
~ Kathy Camarena (Hanson) - December 5, 2018
Wishing you as much peace as possible during this difficult time. Sending my sincere condolences.
~ Jolene Shafer - December 5, 2018
It is impossible to imagine the three most amazing sisters ever to exist.. without Holly. Just as it is impossible to imagine a world without her genuine warmth, quick wit and infectious laugh. I hold you all in prayer and comfort now and in the difficult days ahead. Until we meet again, friend.
~ Sarah Rowh - December 5, 2018
Sending my deepest condolences to the Bonnett Family. Although I was never lucky enough to meet Holly, I do know and love her sister Aubrey - so I know for sure she was an awesome individual. Reading all the stories and how's shes positively impacted other people's lives is another testament to the mark she's left on this earth.
May your soul rest in peace, Holly. You will never be sick again.
The Bonnett family gained an angel this week.
All my love,
~ Kristine Lauder Jaramillo - December 5, 2018
I will forever remember Holly from our time at KDOL. She taught me all about crazy cat memes, trivia crack and the oddest mixes of pizza toppings! She was fun, caring, and always had a smile to share. She will be missed!!!
~ Donna Njuki - December 5, 2018
Aubs and Family -
My thoughts and prayers go out to you! I can imagine these last days have been difficult but I am sure Holly was happy to be surrounded by loved ones and family....lots of love from Seattle!!

Terry, Sorry for your loss, thinking of you at this time.
~ Kenneth Lukavsky - December 5, 2018
Words cannot express how much Holly meant to me. We saw each other through good times and bad and I have been honored to call her my best friend for more than a decade. She had an amazing spirit and loved with all of her heart. She was brilliant and kind and beautiful. Her laugh was infectious and she made people around her happy. She was amazingly talented and we spent hours and hours talking about life, listening to music, and discussing all aspects of life, love, and friendship. There are so many memories I hold dear and absolutely cherish. I’m sure I will have more to share in the next few days as well.
~ Michelle Calvin - December 5, 2018
When I was pregnant with my second child, I was working at the radio station in Norton. Holly was a part time employee there. I was due to have a C-section July 29th. My boss went on vacation to Michigan in mid July and we were the only two that could do most of the work. My water broke at 5:20 am on July 16th. I had to go to Hays to have the baby because our surgeon was also on vacation, so there was no one to run the station. My husband at that time called Holly at 6:00 in the morning and asked her to work for me. She was there and worked that day and the next until my boss returned the day after. I have told this story many times and have been so thankful for Holly every day. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a great faithful employee when they lived here. Thank you Holly for helping me have a safe and healthy baby 19 and a half years ago.
~ Deena Wente - December 5, 2018
Although we did not know you well, being friends with your parents over the years we got to know you thru them. We are sorry you had to leave us so young, but are glad you are not in any pain now. I know the good Lord opened his arms and welcomed you in. God bless and comfort your family at this time.
~ Chuck and Kathy Zimmerman - December 5, 2018
I only met Holly once, when Aubrey and I were in Topeka, working at Hills. I had the pleasure to have dinner with all 3 Bonnett girls. It was so much fun. The laughter and stories that were told showed how much love and loyalty exists in the family. Holly had me laughing non stop. It was by far my favorite trip to Kansas. My heart goes out to you all. I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending love.
~ Heather Froehlich - December 5, 2018
I am so infinitly sorry about your loss. Your daughter Aubrey has always spoken with so much love and admiration for her sister and your family. My heart and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
~ Nicoletta Pellegrino - December 5, 2018
Our Kansas garden is a little smaller with this “prairie flower” (as Grandpa used to call them) being picked so early. I’ll miss her sarcastic comments and her zest for life. She will stay in my heart as the little girl with beautiful blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, and quick smile. Love, Aunt Vic
~ Vicki Flaherty - December 5, 2018
I had not known Holly long, but know her parents well. Terry and Patti, I know you are hurting beyond words. Please trust that Holly is with our Lord and free from pain. Holly was blessed to have the BEST parents a child could ask for. Her passing leaves a deep void that cannot be filled, but God always presents himself in ways when we really need peace and consoling. I remember how excited Holly was at Amber's wedding and she looked right smart in her pink bow tie. She had a beautiful smile on her face the entire day. Now the angels smile with her.
~ Barb White - December 5, 2018
I loved Holly's sense of humor. She had an unique way of observing the minor annoyances of life and commenting on them in a quick-witted, humorous manor. She had an infectious laugh and when she was laughing, I couldn't help but laugh too! At the same time, she was sensitive, gentle and observant. Holly was well versed on many subjects and it was enjoyable and entertaining conversing with her.
I have fond memories of Holly as a child. Around the age of seven, she accompanied my family on vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks. Even at that young age, she was a delightful traveling companion. It was a pleasure having her with us and it was a privilege to share that small portion of her life. You have left a hole in our family darling Holly.

To the Bonnett family:
At this time of sorrow I hope these few words from me give you comfort. I truly adored Holly. She was funny, unique, loving and sweet.
As you were lucky to have her...she was lucky to have you. A loving and supportive mother and father, and 2 incredible sisters. Holly is now an angel looking down on you all with those beautiful crystal eyes. I wish each of you comfort and loving thoughts to help you through this difficult time.
~ Amy Wilson - December 5, 2018
I remember you, Holly Joe, and the years we spent making it work in Kansas. I can't believe you're gone. Explore the universe my old friend.
~ Keith Pangburn - December 5, 2018
We will all miss that beautiful smile!
~ Jennifer Murphy-Bradley - December 5, 2018
“The eyes are the windows to the soul" an expression commonly used about many people, supposed to give you insight into their inner world - their feelings and thoughts. But not you, Ms. Holly. Your smile was the window. Not because your eyes closed when you smiled (thanks for always taking a joke) but because no matter the circumstances or location, no matter the topic or time, you welcomed everyone with your warm and genuine smile. If you were present, so was your smile. Thank you. Thank you, for being you and for allowing me the honor of calling you friend.
~ Kerrice Mapes - December 5, 2018
You were always a joy to be with. I will always remember you fondly.
~ Emily Swain - December 5, 2018
Holly will be missed by me and many, many people who loved and adored her. I have many special memories with Holly over the years of our friendship. I am grateful that I could call her my friend and for the fun times we had together.
~ jennifer berger - December 5, 2018
I remember Holly from Book Book Goose and the photo in her wedding attire makes me think of her leading Amber & Ben's pup down the aisle just a few months ago.
~ Ruth Madell - December 5, 2018
I have so many great memories of her. The first is from when we were little and our parents used sit next to each other at football games so we would play together. One night her and I got into a fight over sharing starburst and I was chewing one at the time so I reached over opened her shirt and spit it on her! So gross!! She got upset and ran to her parents to tell on me and by the time she got there it had stuck to her and her shirt and it wouldn't come off. She had to wait until they got home to put her in the shower to get it unstuck. She was traumatized and I got in big trouble. Years later we laughed about it many times over. Other memories include her stopping me in the halls at school so she could test her mood on my mood necklace and we would laugh about the fact that no matter what temperature her hands were it always came up orange or amber. I remember being very envious of her talent in art class and how red her cheeks always were during band class because I could see them from across the room. I was also recall how witty she was and how she had a smart ass comment for everything. I loved that about her. She will truly be missed.
~ Jennifer Hull Shanklin - December 5, 2018
I fondly remember Holly during her junior high and high school years. Very sad to hear of her passing. She and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
~ George Rossi - December 5, 2018
I was very lucky to know Holly and will never forget her clever jokes nor her love of really great music. But it is her empathy, her gentleness that was so extraordinary. She was so patient, so kind to this lonely only child even though I was a difficult kid to befriend. What an honor to experience her friendship.
~ Crystal Even - December 5, 2018
I fondly remember tennis practices with Holly. She brought a lot of life some afternoons when we all thought Mr. Green and Mr. Johnson had lost their minds. During the school play Holly was so very much in her element. She carried many shows during high school.
~ Kelsey Holste Olson - December 5, 2018
Holly was such a joy to be around in high school. I have lost touch with her and her sisters, but I loved her humor and fun. We had hilarious times back stage at drama productions - she was a hoot! Thinking about all of you and I can't imagine how difficult this is. She was a wonderful person and I'm sure she's waiting for you and watching over you.
~ Elizabeth Maughan - December 5, 2018
There was never such an exciting time in my childhood than when my Kansas cousins were around. I can remember going with my grandparents to visit and Holly, Aubrey, and I were all in the same room to sleep. I can still remember how much I giggled those nights. That’s what you did when you were around Holly. You giggled and laughed. Her laugh was infectious and her quick wit was top notch. I’ll miss you, Holly!

Dear Terry and Patti,
Our hearts are breaking for you and your family. We are so honored to call you long distance friends. Our lives would have been so much richer had we gotten to meet Holly.
Please know we believe she is being cradled by our precious Lord and free of pain and sickness.
May good memories be your source of healing and peace at this time.
Your loving friends from North Little Rock,
Tim and Susan Caley
