Ethel Lue Dennis, 89, Topeka passed away September 24, 2018.
Ethel was born in Nevada, MO on October 16, 1928 the daughter of Charles and Opal (Starr) Beshore.
She graduated from Nevada High School and then went on to graduate from Jane Stormont Vail Nursing School.
Ethel married Everett A. Dennis on March 5, 1949 in Nevada, MO.
She worked as a Nurse at Stormont-Vail Health Center and Santa Fe- Memorial Hospital. She also owned at D&D Cleaning.
She enjoyed knitting, creating and working with ceramics, playing her organ, riding motorcycles and horses. She was a member of the Shawnee Boat and Ski Club.
She is survived by her son, Mark Dennis; daughter, Denise (Edward) Dean; grandchildren, Frank Dean, Matthew Dean, James Dean; great-grandchild, Olivia Dean.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Jack Beshore, Clyde Beshore; sisters, Emma Karpinski, Nora Alline Holland, Lydia Carriger and Opal Gotschell.
Family will greet friends Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka, KS 66604. Graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
