Brenda and Family of Bill,
I think of you and pray for you daily. Bill blessed multiple lives during his time here on earth and taught us how to love and serve others unconditionally. Not a day goes by that I don't think of his example and I know that he blessed my life and for this I am forever grateful. Bill expressed so much love for all of you and the joy that you brought him. I miss his stories about his grandkids whom he loved so much. Thank you for sharing Bill. He is deeply missed. Love to all of you during this holiday season. Cynthia

I was lucky enough to be able to learn two separate times about resuscitation and be certified in CPR.
I only just learned of his passing recently. He was the kindest soul I’ve met, he knew how to keep the class energetic, fun, and still very informative.
~ Matt S. - December 7, 2018
I graduated with him. One by one the Stars go out. He will be missed. The world will change forever and Heaven will be more spectacular. I am so sorry for your loss and ours.
~ Jaye Parkerson - September 20, 2018
Bill was kind and funny. He always had a huge smile on his face and had a great laugh!

You guys were always a joy to be around and Bill always had a smile on his face. We are going to miss him tremendously. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Sending prayers, love and hugs your way!

Bill and I used to have the same morning arrival time of 5am. He always waited for me in the parking lot (that was always dark at that time) and walked in with me. He was a true gentleman. When his schedule changed I missed our brief morning chats. He will be missed deeply.
~ Georgia Denny - August 30, 2018
I am praying for the Lechner family in this very sad time. Bill was a wonderful person and loved my all. He will truly be missed. May the memories he had for all help heal the pain during his loss. Thoughts and prayers to the entire family.
~ Kathy Geels (Hutton) - August 30, 2018
Bill always was so attentive, always laughing, and being so courteous and kind. Just a few weeks ago Brenda, Bill and I did the water walking at the pool and Bill was his usual cheerful self, and and standing at the ready with towels when Brenda and I stayed in the pool a bit longer than he did. I will always remember his cheerful, happy soul. He will be missed by so many whose lives he touched, and my heart aches for Brenda and all the family.
~ Katrin Osterhaus - August 30, 2018

Bill may not be with you physically but he will always be in your heart and on your mind. He is now your guardian angel. Rest In Peace Bill. Gone but never forgotten.

I had the privilege of working with Bill many years ago at St. Francis. He always had a smile on his face and patient’s loved him. I’m so very sorry to hear about your loss. May God wrap his arms around all of you nd five you comfort and strength in this time.
~ Dawn Droge - August 29, 2018
While we didn't know Bill well, Randy and I always enjoyed being in his company. He was always upbeat and loved to laugh, and that seemed to rub off on those around him. He was always genuinely interested in others and this warmth made you feel relaxed in his company. The fact that he was a devoted family man came across clearly; we could always see how much he loved all of his family.
I'm sure his loss has left a huge void in all of your lives. Randy and I just wanted to let you know how sorry we are and how highly we always regarded Bill. He was truly a wonderful man.
~ Lisa and Randy Jost - August 29, 2018
Your father absolutely delighted in the presence of his family and watching his grandkids' activities. His smile and laughter ever present anywhere and anytime we saw him. He could smile with just his eyes. He was a generous man especially with his time and love for people - family or not. So helpful and caring.
Your family will forever be a part of ours. Our hearts break for yours - let the fond memories allow your dad to live on with us all. Praying for your comfort and peace.

I met Bill while working at St. Francis on the Rehab Unit. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family, friends, and the many many people he touched during his lifetime. The world is a much poorer place for his leaving it; he was so compassionate and joyful; a truly good man. I am praying that his family and friends will feel God's comforting presence during this time of great sorrow and grief.

I am so very sorry to hear Billy passed way. It's been many years since I saw him, but as one of the Hutton girls (Tony and Pat's daughter) I have great childhood memories of Billy and all the Lechner kids. Billy was always so nice to us and funny! A big warm hug to you all from me.
~ Denise Cervantes - August 29, 2018
Brenda and the whole family, I can not express how truly sorry I am hearing of Bills passing. He was one of the best, sweetest men I ever knew. I was honored to know him. May you find comfort in Psalm 91:4, "He will cover with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection."
~ Cherida DeWitt - August 29, 2018
Jenna, and family. I can not tell you how saddened I was to here Bill had passed. I was so scared to come back to work after being sick, and your father made me feel so welcome @ St Francis. He talked of the babies constantly. He was so proud!
He always had a kind way about him, always smiling. He will be missed.
Loses take awhile, sometimes a long while. But have comfort in knowing that Bill is with you all always, for he lives in your hearts, and will never be forgotten.

Bill was one of those people who could light up the room with his smile. He always had the true spirit of St. Francis and was loved and respected by all who knew him. I feel fortunate to have known and worked around such a caring person.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
~ Marilyn Wooster - August 29, 2018
Bill was passionate about his work at the hospital and he did always have a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone who crossed his path. However, what I remember most about Bill was what he did during non work hours. He was at the ready for helping those in need. He was so kind to Grandma Vail and went above and beyond in seeing to her welfare. Not only did he see to her physical needs but he was the "fix it" man around her home. He gave extra care to a woman with MS helping with exercises and devising props to help her in day to day movement. I heard he also had a painting business. He was a man with boundless energy to do good. I extend my sympathy to his family. I am so sorry for your loss. Love is eternal. You will see him again. Because HE lives, you can face tomorrow.
~ Judy Austin - August 29, 2018

Bill was an amazing guy with a heart of gold. His smile could light up a room and his eyes lit up every time he talked about his family. I'm blessed with the 3 years I've had the chance to work with him at St. Francis on the Rehab floor but saddened how abruptly it has ended. I will certainly miss our morning conversations. He will be missed so much by so many people. RIP. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family friends and coworkers during this very difficult time.

I have had the privilege of working with Bill at St. Francis over the last 4 years. The first thought that comes to mind when I remember him is that he cared so much for others, especially his family. He enjoyed sharing stories of his most recent travel escapade and the adorable sayings of his grandchildren. Bill was always friendly, kind, and supportive of me as I began my career fresh out of school. I will miss him greatly as I know many others will also.
