Francis Milburn Knernschield, 86, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018.

He was born February 23, 1932, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Otto and Hilda (Hackman) Knernschield.

He served in the United States Navy during Korean War. Francis was employed by Associated Grocers for many years. Francis was a member of the Teamsters and the Loyal Order of Moose,Topeka.
Francis married Beverly Brown on June 8, 1953 they were married for 41 years and later divorced.

Survivors include a daughters, Pam (Gordon) Gregory, Shawnee, KS, Paula Knernschield, Overland Park, KS; sons, Greg (Peggy) Knernschield, Kansas City,MO Terry (Charlene) Knernschield, Bonner Springs, KS; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, long time companion, Mona Keltner and four sisters.

A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date.
