Susan J. Krumm, 74, of Topeka, KS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Daughter of Paul and Mildred, she is survived by daughter, Elizabeth; son, Abe; grandchildren Ben and Mitch.

Sue was born in Chicago, IL, and attended William Howard Taft HS, where she loved working on the yearbook and seeing White Sox games. She attended Bethany Lutheran College in Lindsborg, KS, singing in The Messiah under Elmer Copley. After teaching for a few years while earning a Masters in Counseling from Kansas State University, she took a break to raise two children of her own. As they grew up, she returned to work at St. Francis Boy's Home in Salina, KS.

As her children went to college, she also returned to higher education, earning a Masters in Social Work from The University of Kansas, and an internship at The Menninger Clinic, where she worked for 8 years, eventually becoming a LSCSW. When Menninger moved to Houston, she and several colleagues founded the Heritage Mental Health Clinic, where she enjoyed helping people until her passing.

She will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Saturday, August 18, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel at 1321 SW 10th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
