Dorothy L. Wilson, 85, Topeka, passed away on July 23, 2018.

Dorothy was born on October 19, 1932 in Big Springs, KS the daughter of Benjamin and Bessie (Warner) Emery.

She married Kent B. Wilson on March 23, 1952 in Big Springs, KS. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Dorothy loved being a stay-at-home mother and was devoted to her husband and children. She taught piano from her home for 15 years, and worked at Topeka State Hospital for 11 years after the children were grown.
Dorothy was a member of the Topeka First Church of the Nazarene where she was very active with Sunday school, Children’s Church and Vacation Bible School.

Survivors include her daughters, Gail (David) Culp, Carla (Craig) Stroman, and sons, Kent (Stephanie) Wilson, Graydon (Dara) Wilson; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Greene.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ben Emery; sisters, Joyce Crawford, Ruth Rowe, Catherine Traxler.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Topeka First Church of the Nazarene, 1001 SW 10th Ave Topeka. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Eastview Cemetery in Big Springs, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka First Church of the Nazarene or to Midland Care Hospice, 200 SW Frazier, Topeka, KS 66606.
