Scott was a good father to Elizabeth as I knew them at Shawnee Heights schools. My daughters and I are sorry for her loss of her Daddy.

I was so shocked to hear of Scott's passing! He was a great friend and colleague. He was a great probate attorney and I have had the pleasure of working with him for the past 27 years. I loved his passion for KU basketball; he always kept me up to date on games. He was very proud of his daughter and loved her very much! He would bring in any new pictures he got of her to show me. I will keep his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Scott!!!

Scott helped me through the law office with an agreement I needed some 11 yr. ago. He was most courteous and realized after the fact that our situation didn't work out. He happened to see me in the lobby and said he was truly sorry. Very courteous. So sorry for the loss to his family!

I was so sad to see the passing of Scott in Thursday's paper. He was a competent and compassionate lawyer and he will be greatly missed. He helped me through the passing of my first wife....a very difficult time for me. My condolences to his family and friends.

I am very shocked and saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I respected him as an attorney and colleague and as a person of integrity who cared about doing right. My thoughts and prayers will be with his family and friends.

Scott was passionate about many things and pinned his heart on his sleeve. One of the original BCC "Boring Tax Guys" and I enjoyed working with him. May God bless and keep Scott.

Scott was the Chairman of the Topeka Probate Bar for the last few years. He was very effective in that role, as the Courts switched to electronic filing.

To Robin and family, I am very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all.

Wish I had a few more cases on which Scott could share his insight. It takes more than an understanding of the law to make a good attorney and Scott was able to see the whole picture. All that knew him will greatly miss him.

Scott was one of my best research assistants when he was in law school. Although tax law was his love, he wrote an A in family law. I asked him to help on my first family law two volume treatise. Scott spent countless hours researching. He went “above and beyond” what most do, even working for free during breaks so I could meet my deadlines. I always appreciated his attention to detail. Guess that is what made him a great tax attorney. I will miss him at TBA events...I will miss my tax guy and my good friend.

Stacy, you’re in my thoughts tonight. I’m really sorry for your loss.

I am shocked and so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. We worked together -- I as judge handling probate matters and he as chair of the TBA probate committee -- for many years. I was very honored to have him tell me that he considered me a mentor. Scott was very dedicated to the law and his clients and to helping all practitioners improve their practice abilities. He will be greatly missed! -- Frank Yeoman, District Judge (ret'd.)
