Saturday, April 7, 2018, Mary Stacia Dotson Drennon beloved wife of Richard E. Drennon of Effingham, Kansas, passed away peacefully in Effingham after a long illness. She was born August 15, 1947, in Corning, Iowa, the daughter of the late Harold L. Dotson and Stacia B. (Templin) Dotson of Iowa and Lawrence, Kansas.

She lived with Muscular Dystrophy since childhood, and was educated in Lawrence Schools. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, the University of Kansas, and Emporia State University. She was employed by the Topeka Independent Living Service and the State of Kansas Rehabilitation Services in the Client Assistance Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, William J. Reyer, of Topeka. She is survived by her husband, Richard Drennon, and a brother, Jon R. Dotson, of Arizona, her step-children Jonathan, Crystal, and Richard Drennon II, all of Topeka, and several nieces and nephews.

In spite of extreme hardship, she never lost her zest for life, her sense of humor, and her faith in God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Topeka, KS 66604. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
