Kristina Lynn “Kristy” Adkins, 48, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018.

Kristy was born May 4, 1969, in Placerville, California, the daughter of Robbie and Audra (Stikeleather) Kahler. She was a 1987 graduate of Seaman High School.

Kristy was employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka. She was a member of Jobs Daughters when she was younger. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband. Kristy was an avid golfer and was a member of the Goodyear Golf League. She enjoyed every moment that she was able to spend with her grandchildren.

Kristy married Ronald Dale Adkins on October 22, 2015 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include five children, Samantha "Sami" (Kendrick) Sargent of Ozawkie, Caleb (Whitney) Desch of Topeka, Lance Cpl. Cody (Angela) Frank of Hutchinson, Noah Frank of Topeka and Trenton Adkins of the home, 3 grandchildren, Taegan, Raegynn and Zoe, her parents, Robbie and Audra Kahler of Topeka; two sisters, Jennifer (Vance) Kutch, Denver, CO and Jamie (Wes) Shourds, Topeka; maternal grandmother, Marianne Stikeleather, her paternal grandparents, Bob and Barbara Kahler, many nieces, nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew.

Kristy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Kathryn Billings and grandfather, Al Stikeleather.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka at a later date. Kristy will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
