Keith Melvin Troutman, 95, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at a Topeka care facility. He was born October 28, 1922 in Fredonia, Kansas, the son of Harry and Odessa (Cline) Troutman.
Keith graduated from Altoona High School. He was a Marine Corps Veteran during WWII serving in the South Pacific Islands. Keith was employed by Kaw Valley Electric. He was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion and Philip-Billard Post No. 1650, V.F.W.
Keith married Wilda Lee Lane on March 24, 1946 in Girard, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jack Troutman.
Survivors include their children, Melvin Troutman of Wamego, Kansas, Freda (Paul) Warfield of Topeka, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and a step-great-granddaughter and two brothers, Herman Troutman of Texas City, Texas and Bob Troutman of Lamar, Colorado.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Meals on Wheels, 2701 SW East Circle Drive South, Ste. 2, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
