Albert G. Washington, 72, of Topeka, went Home to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was born March 15, 1945 in Topeka, the son of Albert and Betty J. (Smith) Washington.
Albert resided in Mobile, Alabama from the age of 3 through 16 before moving back to Topeka where he graduated from Topeka High School.
Survivors include his siblings, Lila Washington of Topeka, Donald Washington of Topeka, Stephen Jackson of Wilmot, South Dakota and Rocky Jackson of Topeka and nephews, Wayne and Tyrone Lewis and their children, Wayne III, Tiala, Maurice, Trey, Zahra, and Azuli, a great-great niece, Amara; as well as a number of other nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Albert was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-mother, Ramona Washington, paternal grandmother, Leila Washington, his maternal grandmother, Edna Buford and his infant sister, Roberta Washington.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
