Mabel A. Lindsay, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. She was born February 5, 1925 in Miller, Kansas, the daughter of William A. and Gertrude (Thompson) Galutia.

Mabel graduated from Osage City High School in 1943. She was employed as a Bookkeeper for the American States Insurance Company for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church, the Oakland Rebekah Lodge No. 616, the American Legion Capitol Post No. 1 Auxiliary and the American Association of Business Women.

Mabel married Dale J. Lindsay on April 14, 1943 in Lyndon. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1984. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include their children, DeAnna (David) Freer of Linn Valley, Kansas, Sue (Jim) Modig of Berryton, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Lyndon Cemetery, Lyndon, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St., Ste. 100, Topeka, Kansas 66614 or Meals On Wheels, 2701 SW East Circle Drive South, Ste. 2, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
