I met Lee shortly after he started with the Sumner County Office. As a young officer, he was always quick to help me learn better ways to do my job. Since going to the AG's office, I had the honor of working together with Lee on a few cases. Lee was a constant professional and a good friend. He will greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family.

Becky, Parker and all Family,
I simply don't have the words to say just how sorry I am for your loss. Lee was an outstanding man, and I am honored to have had him as a friend. We first got to know each other as undergrads at K-State, and then both wound up in law school at Washburn. To quote one of our other classmates, Lee was "sneaky smart," and the guy you always wanted to have on your team. When I was at the Kansas AG's Office at the start of a new administration, we had some openings in the Criminal Division and I knew just who I wanted to call to try to get him to apply. Getting Lee to come onboard in the Criminal Division was likely the best personnel decision I was ever involved in - and definitely one of the best hires the AG's Office ever made. When I left the Kansas AG's Office in 2009 to move to New Mexico, it truly made me feel better to know Lee was there and I was leaving the shop in good hands.
Parker, I want you to know that your dad was so proud of you, and he talked about you all the time. Anyone who knew your dad at all knew how much he loved you, your mom, your sister and all your family. The only thing he loved nearly as much his family was fishing - but you still took first place, and with Lee, that is really saying something. I know you must still be very much in shock, and you are grieving the loss of your dad. Right now, this is just about as tough as it can get in life. I hope you can hold onto this: Your dad loved you, he was proud of you, and he had such great confidence in the man you will become. In your dad, you have seen, day after day, an exceptional role model of a father, husband and man. He was a man of character. I know - like your dad did - that you are going to live up to every bit of the very best of the example your dad set for you.
To all the family, please know that you are in the hearts, thoughts and prayers of all the Graham family.

I probably tried at least ten cases against Lee across the state. He was a gentleman and the ultimate professional. I am a better person for having known him. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Lee's passing. He was great to work with and had appeared in my court numerous times.
Wishing you comfort in the future as you struggle with this tremendous loss.

In the time I've known Lee I experienced him as someone who loved his children and family. Even in difficult and trying times he always talked with love about Parker and Holly. He loved Becky and would often talk of his worries about health issues not only for Becky but for the kids as well. I remember him to be a smart, dedicated family man who gave a lot to his job. His one pleasure was to take his boat out fishing. It was there he could let go of any worries and stress that was bothering him. I hope Lee, you are continuing to fish and are experiencing the peace you well deserve. We will all miss you.

Parker and Becky,
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Lee. He was a great guy and a great father figure for Austyn throughout the years. Our family has been blessed to have known him.
I know Aussie will miss his fishing trips with Lee. Thoughts and prayers.

We suffered a great loss with Lee's unexpected passing. He was not only a very good lawyer, as evidenced by his pending nomination to be a District Judge, but was also a great person - hard working at all times, always humble, kind to all, understanding and helpful when presented with a request, and perhaps most important of all, lovingly proud of his family. I will miss this good man at many levels, not the least of which was his dry, but hilarious, sense of humor. He was a good friend to all. The world is a better place for his life. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him.
