Lois Hoppe Succi, 77, Auburn, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015.

She was born July 20, 1937, in Auburn, Kansas, the daughter of William "Bill" and Emma (Maus) Hoppe. Lois graduated from Auburn High School in 1955 and attended Emporia State University.

Lois was a secretary at the Kansas Department of Animal Health.

She was a past member of Federated Church in Burlingame, a member of TOPS and volunteered with the Burlingame Girls Scouts.

She married Glen Succi on September 1, 1957 and they later divorced.

Survivors include her children, Cynthia (Jeff) Gilstrap, Oklahoma; Alan (Carolyn) Succi, Oskaloosa; Jolene (Rick) Miller, Vassar and Connie (Greg) Gowin, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie (Duane) Cole, Auburn and twin sister, Doris Rainbolt, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hoppe.

Lois enjoyed music, writing poetry, playing scrabble and visiting with family and friends.

Lois’ children would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sunset Manor, Waverly and Grace Hospice for the care they provided.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 37th & Wanamaker, Topeka. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
