James D. Molloy, 62, Topeka, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015.

Jim was born July 20, 1952 in Princeton, MO, the son of Jefferson and Eva Margaret Molloy. He graduated from Southeast Saline High School in 1970 and attended Salina Vo-Tech School for Auto Body Repair.

He worked at several automobile dealerships in Western Kansas and the Topeka area. He owned Molloy and Sons Paint and Body shop, Designer Edging, and most recently was employed with Southwest Publishing.

He was an active member of Faith Family Life Centre where he served on the Deacon board, the North Osage 4-H club, and the Carbondale Jaycees
.
His family was very important to him and he enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren’s activities. He will be remembered for his love for God and his family. His life touched many.

Jim married Claudine Mercer on May 13, 1989 in Overbrook. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Tracy (Rodney) Humbert, Jeffery Molloy, Cory Molloy, Jamie (Dallas) DeWitt, Ariel Molloy; 10 grandchildren; parents, Jeff and Margaret Molloy; and sisters, Mary (Randall) Colston, Virginia (Jim) Cook, Connie (Randy) Roberts, Eva (Larry) Birch and Amy (Tony) Flohrschutz.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Faith Family Life Centre. Burial will follow at Carbondale Cemetery. Jim will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence after 3:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
