Delton B Green, 89, Lawrence, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Aldersgate Village Topeka, Kansas.

Delton was born January 12, 1926 in Scottsville, Ks. the son of Boyd B and Loie Blanche (Burnham) Green. He graduated from Scottsville High School. He married Mary Maxine Murray on May 26th, 1945 in Barnard, Kansas.

Delton and Maxine farmed in the Scottsville community for many years including custom combining from Texas to North Dakota during the summers and in Nebraska during the fall. They also managed the Beloit Elks Club in Beloit, Ks. Later they owned and operated the Beloit Typewriter Exchange in Beloit before retirement. They moved to Lawrence, Ks. to be closer to their daughter and family in 2000.

Delton was an active member of the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years serving as Grand Master of Kansas. He was also a member of the Beloit Presbyterian Church.

Maxine passed April 1, 2006. Survivors include daughter Marilyn (Larry) St. Peter, Lawrence, Ks; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Doris Troutman and Annabelle Munsey.

Delton was cremated and private services will be held at a later date.
