Henrietta Rocelia (Linsey) Henderson
1927 - 2014
Henrietta was the oldest of four children. She married Cody Noel Henderson on May 21, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Henrietta worked for Hallmark Cards and for most of her working career was employed by the government as a telephone operator. She worked for Stormont-Vail Hospital after retiring from the government and was there for almost 20 years in the Communications Department.
Henrietta was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church and was involved with serving at Let’s Help. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Beulah Chapter #34 and Ancient Order of Toltec, where she held many offices.
Henrietta enjoyed working in her yard and especially loved her roses, but she most loved to spend time with her family. She had a wonderful life that was filled with special moments with family and the great friends she met over her lifetime.
Henrietta was dedicated to always serving others. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Those that knew her will always remember her wonderful smile.
She is survived by her three children, Connie DeGuair (husband Nelson) of Hawaii, Donald Henderson (wife Debbie) of Topeka, and Becky Roth(husband James) of Paxico; brother, Howard Dean Linsey; sister, Leona Parre; four grandchildren, Damon White, Kendra Heald, Darren White, and Kody Henderson; five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Kaylee, Connor, Dylan and Mandie.
She was preceded in death by her brother, George Linsey.
