Bev was born on September 11, 1934 in Hutchison, Kansas to Ervin G. and Lessie P. Weber, who preceded her in death.
In 1952 she was married to her beloved Robert Jennings Varney and together they raised their three very active sons; William E. Varney (Tena) of Tecumseh, KS, Greg Varney (Debbie) of Topeka, and Steven Varney of Highlandville, MO.
Bev is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Beverly attended Hutchinson Business College. She devoted her life to raising her three sons. After her sons were older, she was an Administrative Assistant for Boswell Junior High.
She and Bob retired to Branson, MO, where they lived on Point Royale Golf Course. They returned to Topeka several years ago. Bev was active in various churches, and was a member of Light of the World Christian Center. Bev was very involved with her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was active in Boy Scouts. Bev loved flowers and enjoyed her flower gardens.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at noon, on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
