Janice K. Lutz, 62, of Berryton, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Midland Hospice House. She was born June 27, 1951 in Fort Scott, KS, the daughter of William and Martha Babbitt Faulhaber.

Janice graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1969. She was employed by U.S.D. 450 for 24 years before retiring in 2007.

Janice married Gary D. Lutz on August 14, 1971 in Berryton. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Michelle Lutz of Berryton, Marsha (Richard) Hensley of Peculiar, MO, Jason Lutz of Overland Park, KS, two grandchildren, Brooklyn Cordero and Hailey Hensley, her parents, William and Martha Faulhaber of Mapleton, KS and her siblings, Joyce (David) Wilkins of Bronson, KS and David Faulhaber of Mapleton, KS.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Private inurnment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka at a later date.
