Robert E. “Bob” Mulvihill, 80, Topeka, died November 4, 2012.

He was born June 6, 1932 in Williamstown, KS, the son of John J. and Lillian (Kennedy) Mulvihill, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Mulvihill was employed by Santa Fe Railroad and Fleming Foods.

Bob married Loretta Allen on November 16, 1973 in Topeka. She survives of the home. Other survivors include children, Debbi Mulvihill Simon (Mike), Linda Mulvihill Hubert, Scott Mulvihill, Dennis Vines, Diana Vines Hurd (Chuck), Gary Vines (Verla), Brad Vines and Donnie Vines (Lisa); 17 grandchildren, Jason Mulvihill (Lisa), Jennifer Hubert, Bill Vines (Brie), Cassie Bigler (Jake), Gary Jr. Vines (Amanda), Jeannie Vines, Denny Jr. Vines (Loretta), Tonya Tanner (Michael), Tony Vines, Travis Allen, Steven Vines, Troy Vines, Andrew Vines-Birk, Trisha Breese (Chad), Rick Blankenship, Mandi Tillman (Leo), Shawn Watkins; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Mulvihill and a sister, Lillian Mosher. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryon Robert Mulvihill; a grandson, Cody Vines; a brother, John Mulvihill, Jr.; and a sister, Cecilia Lamott.

A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Since Bob was such a KU fan, you are invited to wear KU attire if you would like to.Interment will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Bob will lie in state after 3 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
