Grace "Louise" Fockele passed away on June 7, 2016 at Aldersgate Village.

Louise was born September 1, 1916 at LeLupe, Kansas to Beulah and Earl Cummings. She graduated from Ursuline Academy for Girls in Paola, Kansas. She attended Ottawa University. She married Dean Fockele on July 12, 1937 and they lived in Ottawa, Kansas until 1945 when they moved to Tucson, Arizona. They remained there until 1957. They then moved back to Kansas, living in Topeka, Kansas City and Ottawa. While in Tucson she graduated from Beauty School and when she moved back to Kansas she owned and operated Crown Beauty Salon, then began work for the State Board of Cosmetology as an inspector. Louise was a member of Beulah Chapter #34 order of the Eastern Star and an active member of Crestview United Methodist Church. She enjoyed oil painting and painted many beautiful things, she was also an avid reader.

Survivors include her children: Ron Fockele, South Dakota. Fred (Janice) Fockele of Harlingen, TX and Lynn (Richard) McKinsey, Topeka; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday, June 25 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crestview United Methodist Church or Aldersgate Village Good Samaritan Fund.
