Patty was born March 17, 1936 in Topeka, the daughter of Harry and Lola DeHart. She graduated from Seaman High School in 1954 and attended Kaw Area Vo-Tech School.
She was employed as a traffic clerk with several truck lines.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Patty married Carlton Lowell Collins. He preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Harry Jay Collins, Arthur Ray Collins; daughter, Alison Kay Collins, all of Topeka; grandchildren, Becky, Joe, Adam and Tyler; and siblings, Bonnie McNorton, Virginia Perkins, Ronnie DeHart, Sandy Smith and Joe DeMark. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lowell Collins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Half-Day Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, followed by visitation until 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
