Paula Elaine Keeney, 78, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016.

She was born November 8, 1937 in Havensville, KS, the daughter of Paul and Edna Randel.

She was a 1954 graduate of Havensville High School. After high school Elaine married Gene Keeney on July 22, 1957 in Havensville. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone for two years, leaving there to raise her family. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She was very passionate about K-State sports, The World of Outlaws Sprint Car racing and her beloved dog, Jake. She was known for her cooking, and will be remembered for her Christmas cookie platters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, and a brother, Wayne Randel.

Survivors include son Mike Keeney (Teresa) of Tulsa, OK, daughter Michelle Bleeck (Mike) of Topeka, daughter Lori Babcock (Adam) of Urbandale, IA and son Greg Keeney of Topeka; granddaughters Amber Bleeck, Crystal Bates (Chet), Amanda Reynolds (Matt), Jennifer and Allison Babcock; grandsons Michael Bleeck, Jr. (Melanie), Clint Fowler (Sarah) and Ryan Babcock; Brother, Roger Randel (Bert) of Havensville; a sister, Dorothy McDougal(Dale) of Havensville; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW. 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604 where the family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Topeka Cemetery.
