Bettie Lou Housholder

Bettie Lou Housholder, 82, Tecumseh, passed Friday, February 5, 2016, at her home. She was born October 17, 1933, in Topeka, the daughter of John Harold and Genevieve Mary (Silversmith) North
.
She had worked for American Bindery for 17 years, before retiring. She was a former member of the South Knollwood Baptist Church.

She was married to William Walter Housholder on November 7, 1953, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Holli Housholder on December 29, 2011; and a granddaughter: Jodie Housholder on November 15, 2005.

Surviving are four sons: William Housholder (Brenda Parsons) of Topeka, John Housholder of Admire, Daniel Housholder (Lacinda) of Tecumseh, and Roger Housholder (Anna) of Topeka; three daughters: Lucinda Kristek of Wichita, Tamie Housholder of Topeka, and Jacqueline McDaniel (Richard Lyda, Jr.) of Salina; two brothers: Billy North of Tennessee, and Tommy North of Topeka; nineteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in the Topeka Cemetery, 1601 SE Tenth, Topeka.

Bettie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
