Donna J. Coffman, 84, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 of cancer at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 1, 1930 in Scranton, KS, the daughter of Martin and Goldie (Yotter) Eraas.

Donna graduated from Topeka High School in 1947. In her youth while attending school, Donna worked for Velvet Freeze Ice Cream Store, Hallmark Cards and started to work for Thatcher Inc. just before graduation and continued until 1953. Donna returned to Thatcher Inc. a couple of years later and worked there until 1959. In 1966, Donna began employment with Beeline Fashions and continued for a number of years and became a Branch Manager and Region Manager.

Donna married Harland D. โ€œHalโ€ Coffman on December 31, 1948 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2010. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; Amy Dawn Southall and her brothers; Lyle Eraas and Adrian Eraas.

Survivors include three children; Dawn A. (Eddie) Southall of Topeka and Marty (Carol) Coffman and Carrie J. Coffman-Jones both of Tecumseh, seven grandchildren; Angie Turnbow, Skipper Southall, Annie Southall, Andy Coffman, Kristi Carter, Mackenzie Jones, Zack Jones, fourteen great-grandchildren and her siblings, Betty Ruch of Kansas City, MO and Lamae Weinz of Snohomish, WA.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Donna will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the funeral home.
