Climeta D. Murray, 75, Topeka, passed away, Monday, May 4, 2015 . She was born December 2, 1939, in Emporia, Kansas to William H. and Fannie (Smith) Dorsey.

Climeta was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where her husband pastored for 25 years. As a pastor's wife, she was very active in various auxiliaries and church ministries. Her current membership was with Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and also worked with the Shawnee County Election Board for 15 years. Climeta loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family.

On May 25, 1957, she married Rev. Harold Milton Murray, Jr. and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, William J., Lewis, Virgil, Donald and Kenneth Dorsey and two sisters, Dorothy Brooks and Carol Dorsey.

Survivors include her children, Mark (Catrece) Murray, Topeka, KS, Mia (Eddie) Lane, Rowlett, TX and Matthew (Julie) Murray, Topeka, KS; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, May 11, 2015 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka, KS. Climeta will lie in state & visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
