Jean Catherine McCaskill, 88, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
She was born February 3, 1927, in Delphos, Kansas, the daughter of William and Bessie (Cherry) Spivey. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and attended Kansas State University.

Jean was an office clerk for the State of Kansas retiring in the late 1980's.
Mrs. McCaskill was a member of the Gage Park Baptist Church, American Baptist Women, American Business Women’s Association and volunteered at Findables.

Jean married George A. McCaskill on May 22, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1972. Survivors include their children, Nancy (Fareed) El-Amin, Topeka and George (Deborah) McCaskill, Eskridge; one grandson Russ (Janna) Callahan, Denton, TX and one sister, Betty Lee Lockhart, San Antonio, TX.

Funeral services will be 1 pm, Saturday, April 18 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Jean will lie in state from 12 noon until 5 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gage Park Baptist Church or Midland Care.
