Rolyn Dudley Teague, 86, formerly of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Topeka, Kansas.

Rolyn was born September 23, 1928, in Delaware Township, Iowa, son of Lemuel and Avis Teague.

He graduated from Schaller High School in 1946. Rolyn honorably served in the US Army for 23 years; retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.

Rolyn married Janis Spooner on June 3, 1951, in Storm Lake, Iowa.

He worked 24 years for the US Postal Service until his retirement in 1994.

Rolyn was a member of the Manhattan American Legion Post #17.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Teague; three children, Michael Teague, Marci McDaniel, and Mark Teague; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Rolyn is also survived by his sister, Naomi Shaeffer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at a later date at Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery, Manhattan, Kansas.
