Gary D. Lutz, 64, of Berryton, died on Monday, September 22, 2014 at his residence.

Gary was born on May 26, 1950 in Topeka to Harley and Nellie (Roberts) Lutz. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1969.

Gary worked many years for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka and retired in 1998.

Gary was married to Janice Faulhaber on August 14, 1971 in Berryton.

Survivors include his children, Michelle Lutz of Berryton, Marsha (Richard) Hensley of Peculiar, MO, and Jason Lutz of Overland Park; two grandchildren, Brooklyn Cordero and Hailey Hensley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Lutz, by his parents and by one sister.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka where the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Private inurnment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka at a later date.
