Laurel “Laura” Kester, 65, passed away July 11, 2018 in Topeka, KS.
Laura was born June 15, 1953 the daughter of Ernest and Lucille (Wheeler) Kester.
She was a lifelong musician. She played guitar and sang in multiple bands, most notably the Country Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy Kester; sisters, Carolyn Gile and Tene Darbyshire.
Survivors include life partner, Jullie Dameron, son Buddy and his wife Brandi, Topeka; daughters, Mechell Stephenson and her husband Howie, Arkansas City, KS, Cass Olmstead and her husband, Jerry, Topeka; grandchildren, Chloe, Christine, Lacy, Shawn, Shaylee; brothers, Philip Kester and his wife, Mary Ann, Pete Kester and his wife, Sheila, Terry Kester and his wife, Debra several nieces and nephews and many extended family that called her mom.
Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. at J&J’s Brew and Brew Sunday, July 15, 2018. Bring your instruments and be ready to celebrate Laura with music and laughs.
