Billie Mae Whitney, 84, Topeka passed away May 18, 2018.


She was born January 1, 1934, in Austin , Texas, the daughter of Roma and Rosie (Taylor) Markrum.


Billie was employed by the Wichita Pump and Supply for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of the Wichita Gun Club, a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Ladies White Shrine.


Billie had attended the El Shaddai Ministries Community Church. Currently she attended Eagle Rock Church of Lawrence


Survivors include a daughter, Sheryl Linton; son, Roger Whitney; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren


She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Roxanne Whitney, son, Patrick Whitney, sister, Betty Wadel; brother, David Markrum; a grandson, Phillip Linton and a great granddaughter, Brittany Linton.


A celebration of Billie's life will be at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
